Replacing both your AC and furnace at the same time is one of the smartest investments a homeowner can make. It saves on labor, ensures compatibility between systems, and resets both warranties at once.

What to expect from your visit
Your Field Supervisor will assess your ductwork, evaluate both systems, and walk you through matched AC and furnace options across all efficiency tiers. Replacing both at once gives you greater flexibility in equipment selection and typically saves $2,000 to $5,000 in labor compared to two separate installs. If one system still has life left, they'll tell you.

Efficiency at a glance
Furnaces are rated by AFUE, which measures how much fuel becomes usable heat. An 80% AFUE rating means 80¢ of every dollar of gas heats your home. High-efficiency furnaces (90%+ AFUE) cost more upfront but offer lower monthly bills. Your Field Supervisor will help you find the right break-even point for your home.

Efficiency and sizing: what drives the decision
AC efficiency is measured by SEER2, the higher the rating, the less it costs to run. Sizing (in tons) must match your home's square footage, insulation, windows, and ductwork. An oversized unit short-cycles and wastes energy; an undersized one runs constantly. Your Field Supervisor will determine the right fit.

What to expect from your visit
Your Field Supervisor will evaluate your ductwork, your existing furnace (if applicable), and your home's layout to identify the right heat pump type and configuration. They'll also assess whether a hybrid system makes the most sense for Greater Philadelphia winters. If your current system has more life left in it, they'll tell you that too.

Heat pumps in our climate
Greater Philadelphia winters are cold but manageable for modern heat pumps. Cold-climate models perform reliably down to 0°F. For the coldest stretches, a hybrid setup that pairs a heat pump with your existing gas furnace lets you save energy most of the year while keeping gas as a backup when it's most efficient.
